Brian's approach is all about teaching. He enjoys educating his clients so they can understand how taxes and financial decisions can work together.
As a matter of fact, as part of the Sensible Money team, Brian is frequently known to express his love of taxes. His team members are thrilled by this! He coordinates with them frequently, as team members all leverage each other's expertise to deliver the most appropriate recommendations for each client.
Brian has his Bachelor's of Science in Economics as well as his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Kentucky and holds both his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and Retirement Management Analyst® designations.
He began his financial services career in the banking industry in 2005 and enrolled in the Accelerated ASU CFP® program in 2007. He began working with Dana in 2008 at a former firm, and then the next year life through a curve ball at him: cancer.
With excellent medical and family support, he made it through a grueling year, and with a new perspective, he set off to New Zealand to successfully pursue a passion of becoming a SBINZ Certified Snowboard Instructor.
After returning to the states, he began spending winters in Mammoth Lakes, CA as a snowboard instructor and developed an arrangement with Sensible Money where he could continue his career in personal finance and spend time in both California and Arizona.
